My name is Dice. Lucky me - I’m in the ICU because I have Parvovirus!
Thank you for donating to this puppy’s care! I took over his case when he was surrendered to my veterinary office. I diagnosed him with Parvovirus, which is a highly contagious severe GI disease that is often fatal in puppies. Parvovirus can be prevented with a series of DHPP vaccinations. It takes a lot of vaccines to prevent this virus from attacking puppies.
Dice’s best chance at survival is hospitalization - so I took him to the ER at Blue Pearl last night. His estimate for care is a minimum of $4,500.
As his vet, I have only known him for 12 hours, but I can tell he has a good spirit! Despite his lethargy and 103.9 deg fever, he is definitely still a curious puppy! I had to remind him that he is sick and needs to rest on the car ride over to the ER because he wanted to walk around the car and sniff everything! Dice loves to be cuddled and told he’s a good boy!
Please consider donating to help us save Dice!
Always keep your puppy at home until they are fully vaccinated , which is 4-6 months old. When you get a puppy and the breeder says “they’re all up to date with their shots”, that means they are on a vaccine schedule and have gotten vaccines up until now. No puppy is fully vaccinated until they are at least 4 months old.
Thank you and love you all!
