Help Save Dexter’s Big Heart ♥️
Donation protected

Hi, my name is Jaime and I’m reaching out with a heavy heart for support during one of the most difficult times my family and I have ever faced.
If you know me, you know just how much our hairless babies mean to me and my family. Our beloved 10-year-old Sphynx cat, Dexter, was just diagnosed with congestive heart failure. The vet told us his heart is enlarged—and while it’s a medical emergency, it also feels like the perfect metaphor for who Dexter is. He’s always had a huge heart, full of love, gentleness, and quiet comfort.
Dexter is more than just a pet. He’s my emotional support animal, my blue-eyed best friend, and a steady source of comfort through life’s hardest moments. He’s been by my side through anxiety, heartbreak, and grief, and now, as my mom battles stage 4 ovarian cancer, Dexter has continued to give love while we fight to hold it all together.
Today, we were told that without immediate care, Dexter may not make it through the night. With emergency treatment and ongoing medication, he may have 6 to 12 more months—but the cost is $5,000, which we simply cannot afford on top of my mom’s weekly chemo treatments and other mounting medical bills.
We are heartbroken. Euthanasia is the other option today…but I’m not ready to say goodbye. Dexter still has so much love to give, and I want to give him a real chance at life, if it’s within reach.
We’re asking for help—anything you can give—to cover:
• Emergency vet care
• Heart medication for the rest of his life
• Follow-up exams and supportive treatment
If you’ve ever loved an animal who saved you more than you saved them, you’ll understand what Dexter means to me. Sharing or donating to this fund could help us give him a fighting chance—and a little more time wrapped in love.
Thank you, from the bottom of my heart ❤️
