Hi everyone, my name is Ana, and I’m asking for help to save my sweet handsome boy cat, Dexter.

A few days ago, Dexter suddenly started showing terrifying symptoms — he could barely walk, his balance was gone, and was experiencing focal seizures. After rushing him to multiple vets and specialists, they found neurological abnormalities that point to FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis) — a viral disease that was once considered fatal. Thankfully, there is now a medication that can treat FIP — and I’ve started Dexter on it immediately while waiting for confirmation tests. He’s still purring, eating, and showing so much fight, even though his body is weak and is still showing neurological symptoms. I can tell he wants to live. But the treatment, testing, and vet visits are adding up quickly — and I’m struggling to afford it all. The antiviral alone can cost thousands over the full course of treatment. I’m doing everything I can, but I can’t do it alone.
