Hi! I'm Casey! A dog loving traveller that recently visited Cusco, Peru to complete the Salkantay Trek. I knew there were street dogs there, but nothing could have prepared me for what I saw.

Dogs with limps wandering busy roads. Puppies sleeping in doorways. Dogs digging through garbage bags looking for food. At night, many curled up together on sidewalks just to stay warm.

What broke my heart most was how gentle and loving they still were. Many would walk up quietly for affection, desperate for kindness and care.

I learned about Colitas Sin Techo Cusco, a local shelter working hard to help rescue and care for these dogs with very limited resources.

I’m raising money to support their efforts with food, shelter, medical care, and daily support for the dogs that need it most.

Every donation matters. Even a small amount can help a dog eat, recover, and feel safe for the first time in a long time.
