Help fight for Cullen Jude

Cullen Jude Vaughan is your typical 2 year old: happy go lucky, a bit crazy, and the love of his parents lives. On April 13, 2018,  Cullen’s parents were given news that would change their lives forever. Cullen had been limping for a week and they couldn’t figure out why since he hadn’t been injured. They decided to take him to the pediatrician and after normal testing there they were sent to Shriners hospital where they did further tests. The tests at Shriners also didn’t show anything on the X-rays but the blood tests were off the charts and they were told to rush him to the hospital.

At Baystate Children’s Hospital they were finally able to diagnose the problem and  they were told that Cullen has neuroblastoma, a cancer that typically is seen in infants. His parents, Matt and Diana Vaughan were completely blindsided. Still in shock, they had to move forward and scheduled surgery immediately to try and remove the tumor that had grown to softball size inside his tiny little body.  Unfortunately the tumor was too attached to surrounding organs to be removed with surgery. Cullen’s parents are now waiting to find out what stage the cancer is, it’s definitely stage 3 or 4, and what the next steps with treatment will be. 

They will be moving Cullen to Boston Children’s Hospital and will need all the help they can get while Matt takes time off work to be with Cullen and Diana. If you’d like to donate to help saving this precious little life, it will be appreciated beyond belief. Any little
