Help Save Crown Cleaners - Evicted February 8
Donation protected
May 22 Update
Cathy and the Crown Cleaners team are very thankful for all the support thus far. We are 1/2 way to our goal of raising $25,000 to help them out as the legal support they need is very costly. While running up against a number of roadblocks, they seem to have a new attorney that is doing the right things to support their cause. What we need you to do is the following:
1. They are continuing to pick up and drop off clothes and provide service to customers. If you call the Crown Cleaners number, (415) [phone redacted], they can come to your home or office and get your clothes and deliver them back to you. This will provide them with some very much-needed revenue while they continue to fight the banks closure of their business.
2. Make a donation - as stated above, financially, they still need our help. Legal bills are upwards of $30,000.
Thanks so much in advance. We all love the Crown Cleaners team and want to see them beat this challenging time they are experiencing.

Not too much to update you on except that Cathy and Peter are still fighting to save the business. We are half way to our fundraising goal but the attorneys fees are hefty. Your continued support is greatly appreciated. Getting to our goal of $25,000 will help them out alot. Thanks again.

February 20, 2023 UPDATE:
Cathy and Peter are working hard with their attorney to get access to the store so they can get all their customers' clothes back to them. Up to this point in time, Tri Counties Bank is not allowing it. This gives you a good understanding of how unreasonable the bank is and the tactics they employ. If you have any questions, please contact Cathy or Peter at [phone redacted]. In the meantime, if there is anyone that would like to donate to help pay for the legal bills, please share this link with them. It is greatly appreciated.

CROWN CLEANERS UPDATE- Unfortunately, the banks bullying tactics, at least for the meantime has worked and Crown Cleaners doors have been closed. They did not even give them the opportunity to get customers clothes back to them. The Crown Cleaners team is working on a solution for this and will let everyone know when they can retrieve their items. Also, the attorneys are working diligently to rectify the situation and get Crown Cleaners doors back open. Will keep you updated as events unfold.
Many of us in SF have been customers of Crown Cleaners at 3611 Buchanan and Bay Street for years. Established in 1994, Our friend, owner Cathy Chow, is one of the nicest small business owners in the city along with Peter, who has worked and supported the business since its inception. They are a very important part of our community and they need our help now.
The new bank that now owns their business loan has increased their payments by 65%, an outrageous and impossible sum for them. They are still recovering from covid - during which they received no PPE loans due to the bank's efforts to block their recovery.
They will be evicted on February 8th unless they can HIRE? a lawyer to help them file suit against this bank. (DO THEY HAVE A LAWYER YET?). In order to retain a lawyer they need to raise funds ASAP.
Please donate whatever you can - ANY amount will help. If they don't get the funds in the next few days, they will be evicted.
Thank you so much for your support and please pass this on! We can do this!
