Help Save Clyde – Emergency Urinary Blockage Surgery
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Samantha, and I’m reaching out with a heavy heart and an urgent plea for help. My sweet cat Clyde is currently hospitalized with a life-threatening urinary blockage—a condition that, if untreated, is fatal within days.
Earlier today, he began acting strangely—walking stiffly, growling when touched, and constantly licking his back end. When I felt his belly, it was rock-hard. We rushed him to the emergency vet, and he was diagnosed with a severe bladder blockage. The vets believe it may be due to feline lower urinary tract disease (FLUTD) or possibly a bladder stone, both of which require intensive treatment.
He is currently receiving emergency catheterization, IV fluids, sedation, and around-the-clock care, and will need to remain hospitalized for at least 48–72 hours. If complications arise or surgery is needed, his stay may be even longer.
The minimum cost of treatment is $5,000, and could rise to $11,000 or more depending on his condition and recovery. As a full-time working mom, I simply don’t have the means to afford this on my own—but I can’t imagine giving up on him. He’s more than a pet—he’s part of our family, our daily comfort, and a source of joy and love. He’s been with my through breakups, moves, 3 degrees, parenthood, everything. He’s my best friend.
If you’re able to give any amount, no matter how small, it will go directly toward saving his life. And if you can’t donate, please consider sharing this fundraiser with others who may be able to help.
Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart for reading this and for caring. Your support means the world.
