Help save Clart About Sensory Cafe whilst I fight cancer.
Hello everyone,
My name is Lynn and I am the founder of Clart About Sensory Cafe not for profit organisation supporting families across County Durham.
The Sensory cafe isn't just a play cafe it supports families experiencing perinatal mental illness and creates friendhips for lots. I created Clart About as I knew first hand how postnatal depression felt and wanted to find a way to support others going through what I had. And over the years we have supported thousands of new parent's becoming a lifeline for many Clart About Sensory Cafe is a much loved community setting.
Now I find myself in the most difficult chapter of my life, I have been diagnosed with breast cancer.
As I start to undergo treatment I will be forced to take a step back. There may be times/days when we have to close our doors or reduce opening hours to navigate through this. This uncertainty will ofcourse put a strain on the organisation and whether we can remain open in the long-term.
So I am humbly asking for your help and support. If you have ever visited the Sensory cafe or would like to see this beautiful community facility stay open, please consider donating to our fundraiser to help us stay afloat while we go through this difficult chapter personally.
All funding raised will be used to support the utilities and running costs of the sensory cafe.
Any amount- no matter how small will help. And if you can't donate please consider sharing this with friends and family or anyone who believes in our mission.
This isn't just about the Sensory cafe. Its about hope. Its about holding onto something beautiful while facing something so difficult. Its about making sure that when I come out the other side that our doors are still open and I can get back to doing what I love supporting new parent's and those experiencing perinatal mental illness.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
