Cinco, my grandson Gage's beloved show cow, has been part of our family since he was five years old. She was a special gift from a close family friend, and together they've shared countless memories through 4-H and local fairs. Cinco is a gentle giant, always patient and loving with Gage, and their bond is truly something special.

Today, our hearts were shaken when Cinco rolled down a ravine. Thanks to the incredible efforts of the Sonoma Valley Animal Rescue Team and the Gold Ridge fire department, she was safely rescued and transported to UC Davis. We are doing everything we can to give her the best chance to survive. Despite her injuries, Cinco is showing her fighting spirit—she's eating and drinking, letting us know she's not giving up, and neither are we.

We are reaching out for help with covering the costs associated with the UC Davis treatment as it could be extensive. They will be floating her in water to allow her body to be weightless allowing her nerves, muscles and any broken bones to heal.
