Help Save Christian – Fighting FIP with Love & Hope
Donation protected
We’re reaching out to ask for your help in saving our beloved cat, Christian.
A few weeks ago, Christian went missing for 13 heartbreaking days. After an agonizing search, we finally found him locked inside a stranger’s garage — dehydrated, disoriented, and not himself.
Shortly after coming home, he began showing worrying symptoms: lethargy, a bloated belly, and loss of appetite. We knew something was seriously wrong.
Since then, we’ve spent over £12,000 on testing, hospital stays, and procedures to rule out other conditions and get to the root of what was happening. After all of this, we received the devastating diagnosis: wet FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis) — a rare and aggressive disease caused by a mutated feline coronavirus. It’s believed that the intense stress of being trapped alone for nearly two weeks may have triggered the condition.
But there is hope.
There’s a groundbreaking antiviral treatment called GS-441524, now legally available through vets in the UK. It has saved thousands of cats around the world, and after pushing hard for early access, Christian received his first dose this week.
Unfortunately, this treatment is not covered by insurance. Christian was already seriously ill earlier this year, and our pet insurance policy has reached its limit due to previous claims. That means we are now having to fund the full 84-day treatment — including daily medication, blood tests, and continuous vet care — completely out of pocket.
We are doing absolutely everything we can to give Christian a chance, but the financial burden is heavy — and we can’t do it alone.
If you’re able to contribute, even a small amount, it would mean the world to us and give Christian the fighting chance he deserves. And if you can’t donate, simply sharing this page would help more than you know.
Thank you for reading, for caring, and for standing with us in this fight for Christian’s life.
With love and gratitude,
