Help Save Chizaramekpere's Legs from Amputation

Hello everyone,

My name is Chijioke Okafor, and I’d love for you to meet my beautiful daughter, Chizaramekpere Angel Okafor (Zara).

Zara was born prematurely in April 2025, and since then, she has faced more challenges than any child should. She was born with a rare condition known as constriction ring syndrome, a serious disorder where tight fibrous bands restrict blood flow to her limbs.

In her case, two of her fingers are fused together, and both legs are being affected by the tightening rings. Zara is always in severe pain and per the surgeon, she is at the risk of permanent organ damage or even loss of her limbs if not treated immediately. More recently, she has begun experiencing severe swelling throughout her body—especially in her legs.

She urgently needs surgery that could cost over $10,000 (approximately ₦15,000,000). Additional expenses for recovery, physical therapy, and medications could further increase the total cost.

As her father, I’m doing everything I can—but financially, we’ve hit a wall. We’ve exhausted every resource available to us, which is why I’ve created this GoFundMe.
