Hello Friends -
I want to keep this short and sweet - which if you know me is nearly an impossible thing to do. Over the past year I have been overwhelmed by the outpouring of support and friendship shown during the pandemic. We opened our restaurant in late 2019, never expecting the world to completely shut down in our first few months. Times have been tough for many local businesses and I appreciate each and every one of you for supporting us during the past year. Today Chef Mike’s Cucina is at a crossroads. Your support has helped us survive and we are forever grateful. Truth is, we didn’t quality for any government pandemic relief, no PPP, no assistance whatsoever. This is why we are SO grateful to all of you every time you come in for lunch and dinner - it means everything. It looks like the pandemic is going to be with us for a little while longer here in Massachusetts so we need your support to help with payroll, food purchases, rent, and the ability to continue providing you the best local cuisine we can. To be honest, without your support, Chef Mike’s is likely to become the latest business to fall due to the Covid crisis. We are nearly at the finish line of Covid and we need your help to survive this pandemic a little longer. Having the opportunity to run a family owned neighborhood restaurant has long been a lifelong dream of mine. I started in a kitchen as a teenager cleaning pots and pans, scrubbing dishes, learning the ropes from my uncle. I’ve never been afraid of hard work and doing what it took to survive. I named the restaurant after my Uncle Mike to honor his memory, all he taught me about this business and in life. It’s never been easy for me to ask for support, but I have been left with no alternative. Your generosity will allow my family to continue my uncle’s legacy and allow us to beat the pandemic together. We have great things to do together in the years ahead - please help us make that a reality. Thank you for your generous donation. You guys are the best and I appreciate each and every one of you.
