Celina is our 7-year-old dog and truly a member of our family. My kids are so close with her—she is our world, and her gentle, loving presence brings us so much joy every day. Seeing her sick has been heartbreaking for all of us, especially my children, who can’t imagine life without her.

Just a few days ago, Celina was diagnosed with pyometra, a life-threatening infection that requires emergency surgery. The situation came out of nowhere. She became lethargic and dehydrated so quickly, and I rushed her to the hospital. The cost of emergency surgery was far more than I could afford. I started her on antibiotics to buy us a little time, and thankfully, I found a local vet who can perform the surgery for less. Still, the cost is more than I can manage on my own.

As a single mother with four kids, I never expected something like this to happen, and I was not prepared.
