Help Save Cecil’s Horse Sanctuary
Cecil’s Horse Sanctuary are in desperate need of help. Heineken have given notice to the sanctuary to be off their land November 2023. They are in desperate need of funds to help them through this difficult time. Retirement Village Group are set to purchase the land that the horses have lived on in Elstree from Heineken. This will leave older and vulnerable ponies that have already been rescued before homeless.
The charity have tried desperately to find an alternative suitable home but as yet no alternative site has been found. Now that Cecil’s have been served with notice that requires that must be gone November, time is running out. We are hoping for a miracle that a permanent home can be found. A temporary home if found could be possible but fencing, water troughs, shelters and moving them more than once will be even more costly. The charity used to have regular open days that help fund the costs of keeping them, sadly these had to come to an end because Heiniken permitted RVG on to the land to drill boreholes for ten days and that ten days lasted ten months there was no space and it was not safe to continue with open days and because of this their income has been greatly reduced. Every penny will help these poorly ponies. I know many are finding things tough at the moment and I thank you in advance for helping at this difficult time.
