Hello Friends,

Please meet my good friend, Cat Logsdon (and a few of her special fur babies!) She is an amazing, selfless, hard-working human being who has dedicated her life to helping the sweetest of all creatures, rabbits. The non-profit rabbit rescue organization she founded nearly 30 years ago, Zooh Corner Rabbit Rescue, has helped countless special needs and elderly bunnies who have been abandoned by their humans...at a shelter, in a park, in a dumpster, or on a busy street. Cat has also helped saved bunnies in countries all around the world, guiding desperate bunny parents through GI stasis or other life-threatening emergencies - oftentimes spending many hours over many days on the phone, over text, or over email to help these bunnies survive. Her life is completely dedicated to rabbits, and has been since she founded Zooh Corner.

Snow Cone Jones was abandoned in a box, in front of a florist, when she was barely six weeks old. Her back was broken in two places and she had flystrike. She was dying. Look at her now!!

Cat's partner of 18 years, Kevin, is a Special Education Teacher who works with autistic children from lower income areas, which means although he could work in a "regular" school for much higher pay, he instead chooses to help these wonderful and deserving kids.

Cat is the type of person who would never let on that she is having any sort of financial trouble, nor would she ask for help from anyone, if it were just for herself. But things have gotten to a breaking point and without immediate financial help, she will not be able to keep her beloved rescue operating. So I have started a GoFundMe campaign to help.

While the past couple of years have been tough for many of us, they pushed Cat and Kevin to a crisis point. Cat's sole source of personal income - bunny-sitting - dwindled to zero during the prolonged COVID shutdown. She and Kevin exhausted their personal savings trying to make ends meet and keep the rabbit rescue running, as they were hit by one hardship after another, including a new transmission for Kevin's 17-year-old car that cost thousands of dollars. Cat's truck - a workhorse used for almost daily vet visits, hay transport, and other rescue work - had been on its last legs for years, held together by duct tape and prayers and frequent (expensive!) trips to the mechanic. On May 6th, Cat's luck finally ran out. Her truck broke down for good, on the way home from the emergency vet, with sanctuary rabbits inside. She urgently needs a reliable vehicle to transport these critical care rabbits back and forth to frequent emergency vet care, along with huge amounts of hay, food, and other supplies to care for the Zooh Corner sanctuary rabbits.

Cat is now renting a tiny no-frills car, but can only afford that for another month. At that point, without a vehicle, she will have to give up her small business of pet sitting (Comfy Bunny Bed & Breakfast), because she cannot conscientiously take on other peoples' pets with no vehicle to transport them, should they need to see a vet while in her care. The additional income from pet sitting is crucial to help pay household expenses.

Dudley, fast asleep here, is one of the many special needs guests Cat cares for through her small business, Comfy Bunny Bed & Breakfast.

On top of that is the fact that Cat cannot keep Zooh Corner Rabbit Rescue operating without our help. A reliable truck is absolutely ESSENTIAL for her rescue work.

"The Motley Crew" - Two elderly (13 years old), two special needs - all abandoned with serious health issues, and taken in by Cat's rescue, are happy and the best of friends.

If you have a heart for animals, please consider donating whatever amount you can to help Cat buy a reliable truck, so that she can keep her bunny sitting business open, and continue helping abandoned, neglected, and abused rabbits. Rabbits - tortured in labs, used as bait for fighting dogs, or forgotten in a backyard hutch through searing summers and brutal winters after the kids lose interest - have no voice. Cat has been their voice for nearly 30 years, and now she needs some help. I know first-hand that her compassion and dedication to saving these defenseless creatures is 100% who she is and what she was put on this earth to do.

Thank you on behalf of Cat and the hundreds of rabbits she has cared for over the years, through both her business and the rescue, and all the future rabbits she will help to save. May your kindness be repaid to you many times over!

Thank you,
Susan
