Help Save Stray Dogs in Casablanca
I live in Los Angeles. My mother lives in Casablanca, Morocco.
For more than 30 years, she has quietly and consistently fed and cared for stray cats and dogs across the city.
She actively supports a small, volunteer-run animal welfare association called AHPAE, which rescues and shelters stray animals with extremely limited resources.
You can learn more about their work here:
Today, AHPAE is facing a critical emergency.
During the Africa Soccer Cup (December–January 2026), local authorities began removing dogs from the streets of Casablanca. Many are being killed in inhumane ways—poisoned or shot. To save them, AHPAE urgently took as many dogs as possible off the streets and into their shelter.
The shelter is now completely full.
They are running out of food, medicine, and basic supplies. Without immediate help, they will not be able to continue caring for the animals they rescued—or save others still in danger.
I am raising funds to help cover:
Food for rescued dogs and cats
Veterinary care and medications
Emergency supplies to keep the shelter operating
How the funds will be used
Donations raised here will be sent directly to support AHPAE’s work on the ground. For those who prefer to donate directly, AHPAE also accepts contributions through the following channels:

Thank you for caring and for helping animals who have no voice.
