Help save Carlton Cricket Club

YOUR HELP IS NEEDED!!!

We at Carlton Cricket Club received a devastating phone call on the morning of Sunday 31st March by Nottinghamshire fire brigade to inform us that our changing rooms were ablaze due to an arson attack.

We are a small community cricket club that is 3 weeks away from the start of the season, and we are now without changing facilities due to mindless vandals.

Our club boasts a diverse and inclusive group of individuals that includes 4 players from the Yorkshire Disability team, youngsters who we have trained as they had never played the game before, and a band of people who voluntarily give up endless hours behind the scenes to ensure the club progresses.

We achieved a well earned promotion at the end of last season to Division 3 and have been proud to be able to give our players a much needed boost to their mental health, encouraged people to make long lasting friendships and giving youngsters a sense of purpose and belonging.

Along with the loss of our changing rooms, 3 bags of 'communal' kit and a 200m long shipping rope, used as our boundary rope that was kindly donated to us, also perished in the fire.

We share our ground with Worksop 3rd XI, and being so close to the season, we are desperately appealing to you all to assist us with funding temporary Portakabin style changing facilities.

Whatever you can afford will be gratefully received so we can continue playing the game we love at a place we cherish.

We want to continue to grow as a club and hopefully attract children and women to form additional teams.
