Captain Boo, our beloved cat who lives on D dock at a marina in Key West and once ran for mayor, has been a cherished part of our community for nearly 18 years. He’s brought joy to everyone who’s met him, and his quirky personality has made him a local legend. Recently, Captain Boo developed a mystery swelling in his larynx and esophagus. First, he lost his meow, and now he’s struggling to eat. We’ve taken him to the vet four times, and he’s currently on steroids, but the situation remains uncertain and the costs are mounting quickly.

We’re doing everything we can to help Captain Boo get the care he needs, but ongoing vet visits and medical treatment are becoming extremely expensive. As his family, we’re reaching out to our community for support.
