#CreekReboot22 Help Save Campbells Creek FNC!

Hello everyone,

I'm raising money for the Campbells Creek Football Netball Club. Any funds raised would go towards the club trying to get our teams on the court/field for season 2022, and saving our 157 year old club going forward next year from the possibility of having to fold for good after being forced into recess in 2021, straight after being forced out of the 2020 season because of covid.

Campbells Creek is a small town just out of Castlemaine in central Victoria. We have a population of around two thousand people.
The Campbells Creek Football/Netball Club, was established in 1864. It has held the record for the highest ever score in a senior Aussie Rules game, since 1990 {Campbells Creek 100.34 (634) defeated Primrose 3.0 (18)}. Brownlow medallist, 3 time Norm Smith medallist, 3 time premiership player and 4 time All Australian, Richmond's Dustin Martin, played his junior footy for Campbells Creek FNC.

There is something really special about small town footy/netty clubs, they are a place for families to spend time together, a way for newcomers to the area to make connections with their new neighbours, a place for friends to hang out, for kids to make friends, and of course there's the footy and the netball! The club becomes a community, and it means so much to it's players and members and everyone involved.

Unfortunately, our club is currently struggling to field a senior football team and some crucial executive committee roles.
The dedicated club volunteers and current committee members have tried really hard to bring players on board, but to get the players, we need money, which some clubs have, and some do not.
Again, the club volunteers have worked hard to get sponsors, but it just hasn't been enough. Throw two years off from covid and a recess into the mix, and things are getting really tough...

In 2021, we had 8 teams ready to play including junior and reserves football sides, and all grades of netball, but without a senior men's side, the league did not want us to go ahead and we had to make the incredibly difficult decision to go into recess.
It feels like because netball is predominantly a sport for women and girls, we are unimportant. If we could field the footy teams but not the netball teams, I'm almost certain we would not have put in that situation.

All we want is the chance to participate in the sports that we love, with our club family, but unfortunately we might not get that chance as without a senior football team, and an executive committee, the club could be forced to fold, so we need to make sure we are financially sustainable so that doesn't happen.

After a really rough couple of years, we have all been looking forward to season 2022 so much, and to miss out again would just be devastating.
