My name is Anna, and I’m reaching out with the heaviest heart. My baby, my soulmate, my gentle giant, my entire world Byron at only 4.5 years old — has been diagnosed with Lymphoma Cancer. Byron has lived a life full of love and happiness. He’s not “just a dog” — he is family, my companion, my emotional support, my whole world. Every moment of the day is better because he is in it. To see him go from a happy boy to a dog fighting for his life has shattered me in ways I never imagined. Everything happened so fast, one day he was his normal self, and suddenly we were at emergency, watching his calcium rise to dangerous levels, running tests, and doing everything possible to save him. We are now preparing for CHOP chemotherapy, along with multiple medications, bloodwork, hospital stays, and supportive treatments. Through all of this, Byron still looks at me with trust, and love. He wants to fight. He is fighting — and I’m fighting with him.
Cancer treatment for dogs is extremely expensive, and as a full-time student who is currently not working, this has become an overwhelming and heartbreaking experience. I am doing everything I can for Byron, but the chemo treatment is very expensive. I am asking for any donations — no matter how small — to give Byron the chance to live. Thank you for reading, caring, donating, or sharing. Thank you for giving Byron a chance to keep fighting. He deserves more time. More walks. More cuddles and love.
