Help Save Buzzed Crow from Closure

Hello friends. As most of you heard, Buzzed Crow is in trouble. Anyone that really knows me knows how difficult it is for me to ask for help. I am asking for help this time because it is not just about me and my family. It is about our employees and their families, our fellow musicians that made Buzzed Crow their home, and our dedicated customers that have been there from day one and supporting our venue. We could not have come this far without you all. We have created some incredible memories and we were on track to expand and build even more relationships and memories. You are all like family to us.

We wound up here because the accountant we had hired did not file taxes properly, and we started receiving letters from the Colorado Department of Revenue stating that we owed back taxes. We were blindsided because we were under the impression that our taxes were being filed correctly. We were able to work out a payment plan, but unfortunately, we were unable to make some of the payments in full. We were consistently communicating with the Department of Revenue and were told by the agent working our case that as long as we were paying something, we would be fine and would not need to worry about them seizing the property. On Thursday last week, we received a call from the agent, stating they were inside our bar taking it over. We were told by the agent that his boss "overrode" his decision to keep the bar open. We were shocked and devastated, and still are. Now, unable to open our bar and earn revenue to pay these taxes, we are dead in the water. We have 10 days from last Thursday to pay the entire amount, or they sell everything and Buzzed Crow is closed for good. When property is seized, they change all locks and we are unable to access the bar, and all contents of the bar are auctioned off to go towards the taxes.

We are doing everything we can to stay open, including selling everything we personally own to get these paid. Sometimes we have to put our faith in the hands of the ones we believe in and the ones that believe in us. You all believed in us and what we were doing in the community. We are laying our pride at your feet, our friends who we consider family. You are our strength, and you helped us build something special. You showed us that dreams come true if you just believe. Thank you for all of the love and support you have given us, and giving us something to believe in. Any help is greatly appreciated and accepted with humility.
