Help Save Burny

Anyone who knows Zander knows his shadow, Burny. The legendary road dog.

Burny isn’t just a pet, he’s family. He’s been there through thick and thin, riding shotgun across the country, greeting strangers with love, and becoming a piece of so many people’s stories.

In April, our hearts broke when we learned that Burny has a rare and aggressive form of cancer: Malignant Melanoma. Thanks to an incredible surgical team, we were able to act fast and give him more time. The first surgery came at a high cost, over $10,000 but Burny’s life and comfort were worth every cent.

Unfortunately, just two months later, new cancer was found in his eye. The next step is another major surgery, and this one comes with a $8,000 price tag. The surgery will mean Burny will lose an eye but they’re able to easily remove the tumour from this location, the surgeon is optimistic of a full recovery. It’s a heavy financial burden after still recovering from the first surgery, and we’re reaching out to our community, the people Burny has loved and who have loved him back, for help. We know Burny has more fight in him.
