Hello! I recently rescued a stray farm cat (named Bug), he was skinny, had fleas, and was unstable on his feet.

We got him a check up and vaccinations, as well as flea medicine and I personally have him a flea bath. Unfortunately, after his vet visit he started deteriorating, not eating, drinking, or moving. He couldn’t even stand on his own.

We took him to the emergency vet right away. He had a high fever and was dehydrated. They had to keep him overnight which I agreed with as his safety comes before my bank account. The next day he still wasn’t doing well and I had a bad feeling so I pushed up his blood work. The blood work came back with him being extremely anemic. He is in intensive care and is being administered fluids, medicine, and formula/kitten food.

He’s only 5 weeks old. I’m picking him up later today but I know the vet bills are going to be very very high. They warned me they would be high but again his life is more important than how much money I have. I am going to inquire about another overnight stay as he has a 50-50 chance of surviving at this moment.

I am a college student and have only $3,500 in my bank account, with $3,000 being paid to the school for my fall semester payment within the next month. I cannot afford to pay Bug’s medical bills. I knew this could happen and accepted the risk when I saved him, I am willing to take out extra school loans if I have to. However, with already having lots of school debt I really do need the help to keep me on my feet for the upcoming school year and my post graduation life this upcoming summer.

Anything helps, please help me save Bug, I work two jobs during the school year but will take another one, I’m dedicated to saving him, even if it’s a risk to my academic performance. Please donate if you are able, even a dollar helps, and I appreciate you so much.
