I never thought I’d be in this position, but I’m reaching out for help because I’m desperate. Our beloved cat Bruce needs urgent medical treatment, and we are struggling to cover the costs.

On Sunday, Bruce was rushed to the vet with a life-threatening urinary tract blockage. He had two blockages removed, and his bladder was drained—this alone cost £1,000. Late last night, he started showing signs of distress again, leaking urine with blood in it. He needs further treatment immediately, which will cost over £2,000.

Many of you know that I lost my dad late last year. My sisters and I covered the funeral costs, and it has been financially draining. On top of that, my partner Sarah recently lost her stepdad just weeks ago. The shock has been overwhelming, and she has been out of work, trying to process the grief. With everything that’s happened, we simply don’t have the funds to give Bruce the care he needs.
