Blake is just a baby. At only 7–8 months old, he should be enjoying life — playing, growing, and being loved in his forever home. Instead, he is fighting for his life.
Many of you will remember the “Blues kids” — four tiny souls cruelly dumped in a recycling station in Gidea Park at just four weeks old. Left to die. Forgotten. But they survived. They thrived. They grew into beautiful, healthy kittens and went on to loving homes.
Blake (formerly Otis) was one of them.
Fast forward to now… and our hearts are breaking.
Blake has been diagnosed with FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis) — a devastating and often fatal illness in young cats. What makes it even more cruel is that it can lie hidden, completely undetectable, before suddenly attacking with full force.
Over the past days, Blake has been in and out of the vets, critically unwell. He has undergone countless tests, scans, and treatments. Fluid has had to be drained from his stomach. He’s been so poorly, and his little body is fighting so hard.
The vet bills have already reached £1,500 — and rising.
Blake’s new owner, Grace, is absolutely heartbroken. She has opened her home and her heart, adopting not one but two of our rescue cats, giving them the life they deserved. She’s a loving mum to three young children, who adore their cats and are devastated seeing Blake so poorly.
Cruelly, this has all happened just before his insurance kicked in.
Blake now urgently needs a life-saving 84-day course of medication, costing £1,000. Without it… we are facing the unthinkable.
We cannot let his story end like this. Not after everything he’s already survived.
He was dumped. He was saved. He was loved.
Now he just needs a chance to live.
We are desperately trying to raise £1,000 to start Blake’s treatment immediately.
⏳ Time is critical. Without this medication, he will not survive.
Please, if you can spare anything at all — no matter how small — it could be the difference between life and death for this little boy.
If you can’t donate, please share. Help us reach someone who can.
Let’s come together and save Blake. He deserves his happy ending.
