Help Save Binky (House Fire)

March 20, 2025 Update: Unfortunately Binky's condition worsened and the family made the difficult decision to end his earthly life today. We are all heartbroken, especially Binky's favorite people Kassandra and Emilia. We hope he is having fun at Rainbow Bridge eating all the garbage, rolling in all the mud, and barking at all the neighbours. We appreciate all the donations to help ease the financial burden for Tyler and Kat. Thank you to all.

Hi, my brother, Tyler's family home unexpectedly caught fire due to a dryer malfunction on Monday March 17th in Burlington, ON. Fortunately him, his wife and 2 girls were not in the home at the time BUT one very important member of the family was. Binky, their small dog was found by firefighters hiding in an upstairs hallway, barely hanging on to life. Almost black from soot and barely breathing he was given CPR and oxygen while transported to a veterinary hospital nearby. His lungs are severely damaged from smoke inhalation and he is exhibiting signs of neurological distress. 2 days later, his lungs have improved (although still on oxygen) but his prognosis is still unknown. To date, the vet bill has totalled over $3500 and is increasing by the minute.

Tyler's family has lost everything in this fire. The house, all clothes, belongings, furniture, kids toys, etc. They are displaced and trying to figure out the next step for themselves and their 2 girls. They are all devastated but their one wish is to have their Binky pull through. I am hopeful that whoever is able, will donate to help try to keep the hope alive and their family whole.
