Bia has been part of our family since she was just 8 weeks old. Over the years, she has become my wife's emotional support animal and a constant source of comfort and joy for both of us. Now, at 4 years and 6 months old, Bia is facing the biggest challenge of her life.

Recently, we were away at my brother's wedding, When we returned, we immediately noticed she had lost a significant amount of weight and refused to eat or drink. We rushed her to the vet and did every test we could afford. The heartbreaking news is that Bia has something lodged in her small intestines and needs emergency surgery to survive.

This decision is truly heartbreaking for our whole family. It will break my children’s hearts and take away something my wife needs dearly and depends on through life. I work hard to support my family, and my dogs are included in that family. Bia has traveled with us across the United States and stayed loyal and by our side through all of life’s ups and downs. We repay that loyalty by doing all we can for her as well. She is family and we need her to stay her with us.

Without this surgery, we will be forced to make the devastating decision to let her go humanely.
