Help save Bella the Pomeranian
Hello, my name is Ariella. My mom is currently in the hospital and on little to no income. Since she’s been admitted, her dog Bella started to act strange. My sister and I decided to take her to the vet. They did some blood work and sent us home. They called us later that night and told us we needed to come back first thing in the morning. They told us that her Red blood cell count was low and they redid some blood work. When it came back it was actually lower than it was the first time. They diagnosed her with Pyrometra (an infection of the uterus that is an emergency situation). They also diagnosed her with anemia thought the be caused by the Pyrometra. The doctors gave us our options to have surgery done to remove the uterus or to put our sweet Bella to sleep. However my Mom is in the hospital and can’t even say goodbye to her dog. She told us that she can’t afford the surgery and to do what we have to do. The life span for a Pomeranian is up to 16 years old with the oldest one living to 21 years old. Bella is a fun loving, kind, playful dog that is still full of energy at her age of 10. If you didn’t know her age you’d never guess it. We unfortunately cannot find an affordable spay and neuter clinic due to the holiday and the weekend. The only places available are emergency vet facility’s that charge through the roof. The cheapest place we found is right here in Monmouth county and estimated 3,800-5000$ for the procedure and post operative overnight care due the fact that she is a critical patient with anemia. I hate to have to let this sweet girl cross the rainbow bridge so early when she can’t say goodbye to her mom, and knowing how much life she has left in her heart and mind! Anything helps! Please if you see this, help with any amount that you can! The doctor gave her only a few days until the option to perform surgery runs out. God bless and thank you for your time!
P.S
If for some reason we don’t raise enough, we will use what we have earned towards Bella’s cremation and donate the rest to a animal shelter! Thank you!
