Help Save Beau: Support After a Tragic Attack, Loss of Teddy, and Injuries to Our Dad

Hi everyone,

We’re reaching out with heavy hearts to ask for your support during an incredibly painful and traumatic time for our family.

Our dad, Pete Sr, and stepmom, Tammy, have always gone above and beyond for rescue animals—opening their hearts and home to dogs who have experienced neglect, abuse, or abandonment. Their compassion and dedication have changed countless lives. But now, they need help.

Just days ago, their sweet and gentle rescue dog Beau was viciously attacked by another dog in their care, a newly rescued dog named Teddy who came from a deeply abusive background. During the attack, Beau suffered life-threatening injuries, including severe lacerations and puncture wounds to his throat, face, ear, and leg. He underwent emergency surgery and is currently hospitalized, fighting for his life.

In a desperate attempt to save Beau, Pete Sr was also seriously injured, sustaining deep bites to his hands and legs. These injuries required medical attention and have added another layer of stress, pain, and financial strain to this already overwhelming situation.

To make matters even more heartbreaking, Teddy—who had been showing escalating behavioral issues despite loving care and rehabilitation—was required to be humanely euthanized by animal control. Pete Sr and Tammy are now facing the devastating grief of losing one dog while still not knowing if Beau will survive.

This tragic series of events has brought not only emotional trauma but also significant financial hardship. We're asking for your help to support:

Beau’s emergency surgery and hospitalization

Follow-up care, medications, and rehabilitation

Medical expenses for Pete Sr's injuries

Final expenses related to Teddy’s euthanasia

Additional support for recovery and healing for the entire family

Beau is home from the hospital, heavily sedated and slowly recovering. He's able to walk around a bit and even got outside a little. We appreciate everyone sharing this post and supporting his recovery. He isn't out of the woods yet, but with your support we are able to cover his recovery!! We thank you all so much!
