Our cat Bear has been going through a very scary medical emergency, and we are asking for help to cover the vet costs that have already started to add up.

About a week ago, Bear began throwing up and slowly stopped eating and drinking. At first we thought it might just be an upset stomach, but her condition kept getting worse. Over the past few days she has been rushed to three different vets trying to find out what is wrong and get her the care she needs.

She is currently at the emergency vet staying overnight while they try to treat a possible intestinal obstruction. The vets are hoping they may be able to resolve it with other procedures, but if that doesn’t work, surgery will be the next and only option. Both options come with risks and complications, but we are doing everything we can to give Bear the best chance.

This fundraiser is to help cover the costs of the emergency care she has already received. If she ends up needing surgery, the costs will unfortunately increase even more, and we are very worried about how we will afford it.

Bear is the most loving cat. Anyone who has met her knows how sweet and special she is. The orange cat in the photo with her is her brother, Dale. They are inseparable and have both been so upset being apart during all of this. I can’t imagine what it would be like for him if Bear didn’t make it.
