Our sweet dog Bear had a sudden medical emergency after swallowing foreign objects, which caused severe gastrointestinal inflammation and a blockage. He started vomiting blood and passing blood, and if we hadn’t rushed him to the emergency ER, it could have been fatal. Right now, Bear is sedated, undergoing X-rays, lab work, being flushed, and is being kept overnight under close monitoring. We are praying he does not need emergency surgery, but at this point, we are doing everything possible to save him.
The unexpected emergency vet visit has already left us facing significant medical expenses, and if Bear needs emergency surgery or additional treatment, the total could quickly rise even higher. We are asking for help from our friends, family, and animal lovers to help us give Bear the care he needs and cover these overwhelming emergency costs. Bear is one of the friendliest, most gentle, loving dogs you could ever meet. He brings so much joy to everyone around him, and we cannot imagine losing him. I have always tried to be there for animals in need—helping dogs on euthanasia lists, fostering animals on death row, adopting rescues, and helping raise money for pets needing urgent care. Now, for the first time, I’m asking for help for one of my own.
Any donation, no matter how small, means the world to us. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser helps just as much. Thank you for helping us fight for Bear and giving him the chance he deserves.
