Hi everyone,
I never thought I’d be in a position to ask for help like this, but right now I’m doing everything I can to save our cat, Batman.
After months of symptoms, Batman was recently diagnosed with diabetes. His condition has been getting worse, and he’s now vomiting daily. It’s been incredibly hard to watch.
We’ve finally found a veterinary clinic in Dryden willing to take him on, since there are currently no vets in Thunder Bay accepting new patients. This is our only option to get him the care he urgently needs.
They need to admit him for a few days to stabilize his blood sugar and safely start insulin. The estimated cost is $800–$1,200 upfront, with ongoing costs of about $100/month for insulin and specialized food.
This is time-sensitive — they can see him Monday, and without treatment, his condition will continue to worsen.
Batman is such a big part of our family. He’s gentle, loving, and has been there through so much with us. Seeing him like this and not being able to help right away has been heartbreaking.
If you’re able to donate anything at all, it would truly mean the world to us. And if you’re not able to, even sharing this would help more than you know. Every bit brings us closer to getting him the care he needs.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this and for any support you can give ❤️
