Help Save Bambi – My Kitten, My Heart, My Fighter
Hi, I’m Samantha—and I’m reaching out during the most devastating moment of my life. My kitten, Bambi (formerly known as Mango of Pearls Ragdolls) is in the ICU fighting for her life. She is not only my emotional support animal but my best friend and the constant source of my comfort over our last 5 months together.
At only 8 months old, she was suddenly hospitalized after she stopped eating. What we thought might be a minor GI issue turned into something far more serious. After emergency imaging, we learned she had an obstruction in her colon and what appears to be a large, disruptive mass pushing on her intestinal wall, possibly blocking her ability to digest food. The obstruction itself appears to be bone from freeze-dried rabbit, a food her body couldn’t process.
She was rushed to the ICU where she’s now receiving constant care—on IV fluids, feeding support, pain meds, and treatments to help relieve the blockage. The most heartbreaking part: Her doctors are strongly believing this is cancer (most likely lymphoma). But we’re still waiting on a final diagnosis from her aspirate, which could take several days.

Why I Need Help
Her ICU Care has already exceeded $9,000 and we haven't even reached a confirmed diagnosis. Despite everything the doctors are seeing, she is still fighting. Her vitals are stable. She’s eating small amounts. She perks up every time we visited her in the ICU. If she hasn’t given up, how can I?
Thanks to Pearl's incredible kindness and support, I learned about FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis)—a rare but treatable disease that can mimic cancer in cats. Many of Bambi's symptoms overlap with FIP,
and were pursuing every possible diagnostic and treatment path incase there's still a chance to save her.

Why This Hurts So Much --
Bambi is more than just a pet. She’s my emotional support animal, my comfort, the anchor that kept me grounded during some of the hardest seasons of my life... my soul. No one could have known how sick she was—she was still her cuddly and calm self, taking care of me . Whether she was curled up on my chest at night to calm me down, sleeping on my head in the morning, or waiting by the bath, I could always rely on her. Her number one job has been to let me know she is there. she is my shadow.
Your support—no matter how small—means the world. If you can’t donate, sharing this is just as powerful. I never imagined I’d be in this position, but I’m not ready to say goodbye to her. Not if there’s still a chance.
Thank you for loving her from afar,
Samantha, Brian, + Bambi
