Help Save Bahar: A Lifeline to My Health

Hello, my name is Zeinab Manesh, and I am a 24-year-old artist and small business owner living with a disability. I rely on my service dog, Bahar, every single day. She is not just a pet; she is my lifeline, my partner, and an essential part of my well-being. Without her, I would not be able to live the life I do, or achieve the level of success I’ve worked so hard to attain.

Bahar is more than just a companion—she is my medical device. She helps me with tasks that are vital to my physical and mental health, from alerting me when my heart rate is dangerously high to providing deep pressure therapy (DPT) when I need to stay calm and grounded. She even helps me find our way home and navigates us safely, especially when I’m overwhelmed or disoriented. Bahar works tirelessly by my side, often doing 12-14 hour shifts, and I owe my stability and independence to her.

Recently, Bahar developed swelling in her face that is causing her significant discomfort. After visits to the vet, we’ve learned that she will need X-rays and potentially surgery to diagnose and treat the issue. The cost of these medical procedures is far beyond my current financial means.

As much as I wish I could cover these costs on my own, I’m reaching out to my community because I need your help. Bahar has given me so much—she’s helped me become the person I am today. Now, I want to give her the care and treatment she deserves.
