Hello,
My name is Erin Michele. I Co-Own and Manage Bagenbrook Farm. Our farm got started with Sir Henri, a little ball of “goat trouble” who was rescued from slaughter. We continued to rescue animals after Henri captured our hearts and inspired us to help as many as we could. We did just that, as many of you reading this are aware.
Sadly, we are facing very challenging times making ends meet. Working full time and still trying to keep up with bills, medical care, and feed has forced us into a very uncomfortable position. This weekend two of our beloved dogs needed life saving surgeries… How do you manage to save a life when the funds just aren’t there. Our hearts are beyond broken over the loss of one of our babies and we’re currently awaiting updates on our other pup when they come out of surgery. This is very difficult for me to discuss. All we’ve ever wanted to do is to “save them all”. We don’t live an extravagant lifestyle and we always put our animals first. It’s tearing us apart to be fighting as hard as we can with little to no financial ammunition. Unfortunately in this world, kindness only extends so far. It doesn’t matter how faithful you’ve been with medical care or timely bill payment in the past, there’s no forgiveness or leeway when hard times hit home.
I’m asking from the bottom of my heart to anyone who knows what we do or how we live, or perhaps you’ve been here in this situation yourselves…. Please help. Whatever you can afford will be used to save lives and help us get back on our feet. We appreciate the support more than you can imagine. I never wanted to have to publicly reach out and share any of this information but I’ve realized it’s ok to ask for help. Sometimes the world doesn’t play fair.
Thank you all in Advance.
