Please help to bring Baby Lochlan home

We created this page with heavy hearts and a deep sense of urgency, seeking your support and kindness during a difficult time. Our precious little nephew and grandson, Lochlan, entered this world on the 17th of April, 2023, surrounded by love and hope. However, in those initial moments of his arrival, our joy was abruptly shattered when we discovered that Lochlan was born with no heartbeat. He had to be resuscitated for 4.5 minutes, and as a result, he has severe brain damage and has been fighting for his life ever since. Currently, Lochlan is receiving critical care in Abu Dhabi, where he was born and where his loving parents reside. Unfortunately, due to his rare condition, the medical team out there have informed us that there is nothing more they can do for our little warrior. They recommend that Lochlan be transferred back to his home in Scotland, where a specialised bed in Glasgow awaits him, offering the potential for further treatment and a glimmer of hope. This is where we desperately need your support. The cost of transporting Lochlan from Abu Dhabi to Glasgow is staggering. We find ourselves in a race against time, seeking to raise £85,000 to cover the expenses of his medical evacuation. Every moment counts, and we are turning to the kindness and generosity of our community to help bring Lochlan home. Lochlan's journey has been one filled with resilience, hope and an unwavering belief in the power of love. It took him some time, but from the moment he first opened his beautiful blue eyes, he has been surrounded by the immeasurable strength and devotion of his parents, who have stayed by his side day and night, fighting for his life. Their courage and determination inspire us all, but they cannot face this financial burden alone. As a united front, we are determined to give Lochlan every chance at a future filled with possibilities. We refuse to let financial constraints stand in the way of his journey back to Scotland, where his extended family, a network of love and support, eagerly await his arrival.
