Help Save Atlas: Our Family's Best Friend ❤️

Meet Atlas, our sweet 4-year-old Goldendoodle, the heart of our family and so much more than just a pet. He's our best friend, our constant companion, and a very special part of our family.

Atlas has always brought so much love and happiness into our home. He loves going for walks, playing fetch, and, most importantly, being surrounded by the people he loves.

But what makes Atlas even more special to us is the bond he shared with our grandma. While our family juggled busy work and school schedules, Atlas was always by our grandma's side. He was her best friend, keeping her company every single day and filling her days with love. They were inseparable, and knowing she had Atlas by her side brought us so much comfort.

Unfortunately, last year, our grandma passed away. We lost someone incredibly special to us, and Atlas lost his best friend. Through our grief, Atlas continued to bring our family comfort and happiness. He's one of the most precious parts of our family, and after losing our grandma, we cannot imagine the heartbreak of losing him too.

Now, we're facing the possibility of losing Atlas.

What started as unexpected stomach issues quickly turned into a life-threatening emergency. After extensive testing, veterinarians discovered that Atlas had septic fluid in his abdomen caused by a perforation in his gastrointestinal tract. We were told that without immediate emergency surgery, Atlas likely wouldn't survive the night.

We were devastated. The thought of losing our best friend, especially after everything our family has already been through, was unimaginable. We knew we had to do everything we could to give him a fighting chance.

Thankfully, Atlas made it through surgery. The surgeons were able to repair the perforation, drain the infected fluid, and thoroughly clean his abdomen. While his surgery went well and we're incredibly grateful for the positive updates we've received, Atlas is still hospitalized and requires close monitoring, medication, and continued medical care to ensure he recovers safely.

Atlas's veterinary bill has already reached $13,000, and because he is still hospitalized, that amount continues to climb. We have exhausted all funding available from the local charities and generously received $2000.

This emergency happened completely unexpectedly, and the financial burden has been overwhelming. But when we were faced with the possibility of losing Atlas, we couldn't imagine making any decision other than giving him the chance to live.

Atlas has spent his life bringing love, happiness, and comfort to our family. He was there for our grandma when she needed companionship, and he was there for us when we lost her. Now, it's our turn to be there for him.

We're reaching out to our friends, family, and community to ask for help covering Atlas's emergency surgery, hospitalization, and ongoing medical expenses.
