Please Help Save Atlas Life – Emergency Surgery Needed

On Tuesday night, we found this precious pup in the middle of the road and we nearly hit him with our car. It took us 30 minutes to gain his trust, but once we got him into the car, all he wanted was love and snuggles. He didn’t bark, whimper, or even have any accidents. We knew right away he was special.

We brought him to the vet today and learned devastating news: he has a diaphragmatic hernia likely from being hit by a car. His organs are pushed up into his chest, compressing his right lung. Without emergency surgery, he could aspirate and pass away at any moment.

On top of that, he’s suffering from fleas, multiple ticks, parasites, an ear infection, skin infection, and is severely underweight. He’s been through so much but continues to be the sweetest, most trusting boy.

We are ready to care for him during recovery but we cannot do this without help. Every donation, no matter how small, brings us closer to saving his life.
