Help Save Athena – Emergency Life-Saving Surgery

Hi everyone,

I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for help for my son’s beloved dog, Athena.

Today, Athena became critically ill and had to be rushed to the emergency vet. After urgent examinations, we were told that she was suffering from a twisted stomach (Gastric Dilatation-Volvulus), a life-threatening condition that requires immediate emergency surgery to save her life.

Athena is not just a pet – she is a much-loved member of our family. She brings so much joy, love, and companionship to everyone around her, and we are devastated to see her fighting for her life.

Thankfully, Athena does have pet insurance, but unfortunately her policy limit has been exceeded. The insurance covers up to £4,000, however we are still left with an additional £1,500 veterinary bill that must be paid for her treatment and ongoing care.

As a family, we simply do not have these funds available at such short notice, but we cannot bear the thought of not giving Athena every chance to recover.
