Help Save Aspens Life

Hi there, My names Melissa and I’m fundraising for my sweet boy Aspen.

UPDATE; Aspen had a blockage in his urethra, at the emergency vet they told me at 12:30am that I had to some how come up with a $2000 down payment for a $4000 surgery to save his life as a blocked urethra can cause death to a cat within 48 hours if not treated right away. I did not have the funds as I live alone and well that is a hefty vet bill for one person, so me and the vet talked and decided to do $1000 for a procedure that night which consisted of anesthesia, bloodwork, catheter and blockage removal plus saline and rinse five times, followed by painkillers, antibiotics, anxiety, and sphincter relaxant medication for me to take home and give to him. His blood work came back really good, Na and K levels hadn’t peaked which determined that I caught it super early, if sodium and potassium levels spike that is what can cause death. I took him home and set up a little room for him, the first 24hrs were hard, he seemed super sore and was trying to figure everything out, I called my vets as soon as they reopened from the holidays and we have an appointment on Tuesday to determine his next steps.If you would like to donate at all to help contribute towards my little buddies surgery, the link is in my bio, and THANK YOU to everyone who has, it truly means a lot the money have paid for the emergency vet bill, along with the specialty food he now has to have.
