Update: I'm sorry to let everyone know Andre has passed. His eulogy will be available soon.

Friends and family, I need your help and prayers. 6 years ago I was blessed with the best friend a person could ask for, my wonderful cat Andre.

Unfortunately, he was diagnosed with Immune-mediated hemolytic anemia (IMHA) this past week. This limits his ability to produce red blood cells and has him fighting for his life.

He has been in and out of the hospital, with another trip likely in the next day or two and costs have finally eaten through the majority of my savings. All remaining funds are dedicated to food and medication.

So it's with a heavy heart that I'm asking anyone who is comfortably able to donate so we can continue the treatments that are our only hope at saving his life.

Without treatment, Andre likely has less than 10 days to live. With treatment, he could potentially be with us another 10 years and lead a relatively normal life.

I am exploring every avenue, working as hard as I can, and leaning on my support systems to ensure I can support his recovery as much as possible. And I am hopeful that members of the loving communities I've belonged to can help cover the rest.
