Help Save Anders: Fight Against FIP
Donation protected
Help us save this handsome boy!
Mr. Anders Breakfast was rescued by AnimaLovers as a friendly stray in a cat colony. He was given another shot at a happy, healthy life full of the love he deserves. We saw him and fell in love as soon as he locked eyes and rolled over for belly pets. We adopted him the next day and he has only been the best and the sweetest since then.
Recently, Anders lost interest in food, which, as his last name suggests, is outside his normal. After being with him at the ER vet for two days, he was diagnosed with FIP, feline infectious peritonitis, which is an incredibly rare disease and rarer still in a cat Ander’s ripe age of 2 years old. We want to give him a chance to fight and live a long, wonderful life with us.
The medication for FIP is hard to get and is very expensive. It only became relatively legal and available in the US as of June 2024. Anders has a 90% chance of a full recovery with the proper medication and supportive care.
We are asking for any help possible to save him. Anders came into both of our lives shortly after Chris lost his long time cat, Foundy, and when Emily had to make the tough call to put down her foster cat, Dangus Khan, after his seizures became uncontrollable and his quality of life tanked. Anders has been a balm to both of our souls, cuddling us and greeting anyone he meets with gentle enthusiasm. He is truly a special cat.
Any contributions you can make toward the medications necessary to save his life would be immensely appreciated and forever remembered.
