Help Save an Injured Stray Dog

Donation protected
Yesterday, I witnessed something heartbreaking—a stray dog was hit by a car going about 30 miles an hour right in front of me. The impact was so hard that the bumper flew off the car. The driver got out, checked his bumper, saw the injured dog, and then sped away, leaving her behind. I couldn’t just walk away, so I stayed with her, even though I don’t have the means to help her on my own.

Right now, she’s responsive and a little aware, but she’s clearly in pain. She has road rash on her legs, her private area is swollen, and one of her nipples is badly damaged. She mostly sleeps, but when she wakes up, she whimpers from the pain. I want to get her the emergency vet care, medication, and food she desperately needs, but I simply don’t have the resources to cover any of it.

I’m so upset that I don’t have emergency money to take care of this, and honestly, I feel ashamed and responsible for her well-being, even though I know I didn’t cause the accident. I’m reaching out for help from anyone who can support this sweet dog’s recovery. I’m also contacting local police, news outlets, and sharing her story on community platforms to find more aid. Any kindness or support you can offer means the world to both of us. Thank you for caring.
