Help Save Alexander's Life

I'm Julianna Domina, and my Fiance Alexander Ross and I are deeply in need of some assistance.

For over a year now, Alexander has been struggling with progressively deteriorating health issues. He's been suffering dystonia, a condition in which muscles uncontrollably contract to the point of paralysis. The dystonia has nearly cost him his life several times, as it's caused his diaphragm to seize, thus making breathing a near-impossibility. On good days, he needs 30 minutes of muscle massaging to be able to get up and start the day.

He's also been suffering from numerous other issues, including but not limited to: Poor circulation leading to severe pain and white extremities, vocabulary loss, loss of dexterity, loss of grip strength, emotional disregulation, brain fog, cognitive decline, inability to eat or drink, severe pain, vomiting, nausea, severe intestinal upset, complete gastroporesis (paralysis of the digestive tract,) and more.

This past week, Alexander was in the hospital in Rio Rancho, and we finally got some answers. He was diagnosed with precancerous growths and severe scarring in his esophagus, a variant of Chron's Disease, and severe deficiencies of every macro and micronutrient which have caused the above stated issues. He and I are both terrified about the results, and happy to finally have answers.

The hospital gave him an urgent referral to UC Colorado Denver, with an appointment to be scheduled for within the next two weeks. No hospital in the state of New Mexico is equipped to treat someone with this degree of these illnesses, which is why the referral to Denver was a necessity. I'm ecstatic that he's finally going to relieve the help he needs soon, especially since his insurance should be covering the costs of his hospital stay, but we're still in an extreme bind.

We need to raise money to cover our rent while we're away, get our pets boarded, get new tires for our vehicle to make the journey safely, and to cover the cost of traveling to Denver from Santa Fe County, New Mexico and back, as well as food while we're in Colorado. We absolutely can't afford all of this, but we absolutely need to make it happen somehow so that I can help save my Fiance's life.

I've been working as Alexander's caregiver, since he's been too sick to be independent, and that's prevented me from seeking secondary employment, since he needs lots of assistance and could need such at any time. I'm also a volunteer firefighter in the closest village to us, which eats up the rest of any time I might have. Alexander has been unable to work due to his severe illness. I don't have any other possible resources to pull upon; this is my last hope.
