Hi, my name is Deb. I am trying to raise funds for my 14 week old rottweiler called Alan. Alan had to go to the vet's today with sickness and lethargic symptoms. Little Alan has a heart murmur, this was discovered when he had his vaccinations by the vet. The vet prompted me to take out the 4 weeks free insurance which I did. The vet's investigations today have now found the heart murmur has gone to a 5 (6 being the highest). Alan has been hospitalised and investigations have found fluid on his lungs, and abnormalities with his heart. He has been given medication to try and reduce the fluids on his lungs. Alan is waiting to see a cardiology specialist tomorrow, were he will undergo a scan on his heart. Afterwards a consultant will determine whether medication or surgery is needed. I have now found out that I am not insured for Alan's heart because prior to this new medical emergency the heart murmur was on the vet's records. Today has cost me £2,000 and tomorrows consultation and scan will cost a further £1,300. After this amount of cash outlay I have no more to give and this is without anymore medications, surgery and aftercare if he pulls through. As dog lovers I think anyone would do the same to give little Alan a chance of survival. If you could please find it in your heart ❤️ to give a donation, no matter how small.
