My dog Akira is my best friend. For the last six years, she and I have done everything together. We beat homelessness, traveled to countless different states, and she's come with me to my new life almost 1,000 miles away from where we both grew up.
Now, my girl is in trouble. She has ingested some dryer sheets that were left out (dogs will eat anything that smells good, I swear to God), and we are in some serious danger with her.
Between the chemicals on the sheets and the number she ate, we are worried not only about intestinal blockage but stomach lining erosion, poison, and other concerns.
After the move from Utah to Seattle, Washington, I'm still trying to settle in and replenish my savings. I don't have financial family support, and I can't get approved for care credit or other loans due to making poor decisions in my youth.
Please consider helping me save my dog's life. She's my best friend.
