Akila means the world to me. She’s been by my side since I was 16 years old and on my own, living in a car together and facing every challenge life has thrown our way. She’s my constant companion, my comfort, and my family. I can’t imagine life without her.

Last night, Akila was attacked by a bigger dog while at home and suffered severe injuries. She went into cardiac arrest around 4am, and the ER team had to perform CPR to save her life. Thanks to their quick action, she pulled through, but she’s still in critical condition. Akila now needs surgery for deep lacerations on her neck and will likely be in the ER for days as she fights to recover. The bill is mounting quickly, and I’ve been out of work due to a foot injury. I’ve applied for every loan I can, but have been denied each time. I just want to save her life and give her the care she needs.

The funds from this fundraiser will go directly toward Akila’s emergency care, surgery, and medications. If you can help in any way, I would be so grateful.
