Help Save Adrian's Support Dog, Cornelius
Donation protected
This is Cornelius. The goodest boy with a big name. He was adopted as a family dog, but quickly chose my son Adrian, and has since become his emotional/epilepsy support dog. Recently, Cornelius started showing signs of illness. A trip to the vet has given the most probable diagnosis of an obstruction in his belly. I used any money I had to pay for the vet exam, fluids, and meds. But, it looks like Cornelius is facing a surgery as his condition is not improving. My son has been struggling with uncontrolled seizures as well as severe depression. I don't want him to take yet another hit by losing his friend. Please, help me save our boy. If you can't support financially, please please please share anywhere you can.
**if you'd prefer to donate to the vet directly I can give that info
Update: We took Cornelius in to the vet tonight. They confirmed there is a blockage in his intestines. The plan is to run another set of x-rays on 7/22 to see if the blockage is moving down or staying in place. If there is no movement the only option is surgery. I am hoping with everything in me that there is movement when we recheck tomorrow!
Update 2: Thank you all so much for the love you've shown my family, both on and off GFM. Cornelius was rushed back for emergency lifesaving surgery late last night (7/22) to remove the corn cob that was stuck in his small intestine. We are hoping for a speedy recovery! The surgery set us back just over $3,000, so every little bit still helps!
