Help Us Rescue Stray Dogs in Honduras

In Honduras, stray dogs are everywhere—abandoned, abused, and forgotten. There are very few shelters or organizations to protect them. With limited education and resources around animal welfare, these innocent animals are left to suffer in the streets, often sick, injured, or starving.

The problem has become so common that many people have sadly grown used to it. But we believe every life matters. These dogs need more than just food—they need medical attention, sterilization to prevent overpopulation, and a safe place to heal.

I was born in a small town called Gracias, Lempira, where poverty and lack of resources make the situation even more heartbreaking. Despite the challenges, a few kind souls—private individuals—have taken it upon themselves to help. We are not an organization (yet), but we are a movement of compassion starting small, with big hopes.

Thanks to the support of a local vet clinic and a few generous private donors, we were able to complete our first rescue: a small dog with a broken, exposed leg. The vet believes he had been suffering for nearly a month. Someone found him lying in pain, and thanks to teamwork, he’s now getting the care he needs.

We won't share graphic images out of respect for your sensitivity, but trust us, their suffering is real and urgent.
