Help Save a Young Scholar’s Life in Bangladesh

Donation protected
I’m reaching out to ask for your support for a young student from a remote, poverty-stricken village in Bangladesh. He had just been offered a life-changing scholarship to study at a university in Australia — a rare and hard-earned opportunity that would’ve allowed him to lift his entire family out of poverty.

But tragically, just before he was due to leave, he fell critically ill. He’s now on life support, battling a rare condition called Guillain-Barré Syndrome (GBS) — a disorder where the body’s own immune system attacks the nerves. It comes on suddenly and can lead to full-body paralysis. Many patients require intensive care, mechanical ventilation, and long-term rehabilitation. It’s terrifying and devastating, especially for a family with so few resources.

His family are now facing not only the fear of losing their son but also the crushing burden of daily medical bills they simply cannot afford. Every day on life support is costing more than they can manage, and they are doing everything they can just to keep going.

We’re raising funds to help cover his medical costs and give him a fighting chance. Even the smallest donation can go a long way. If you can, please contribute — and share this with others who might be able to help.
